Planmates operates as a digital platform facilitating connection between hosts (users proposing activities) and companions (users offering their time to share activities at an agreed hourly rate).

We collect and process only the necessary information to provide a safe, transparent, and functional experience:

• Account details: Full name or pseudonym, email address, assigned account role (host or companion), city, and country.
• Profile information: Optional profile photograph and personal bio/description.
• Platform activity: Published plans, applications, direct chat messages tied to plans, ratings, and public responses.
• Technical & security data: Anonymized IP hash for antispam rate limiting, device type (mobile or desktop), and browser User-Agent.

We process your data based on contract performance (Terms of Service), user consent, and legitimate interests in platform safety, spam prevention, and fraud detection.

• Plan retention: published plans and their associated conversations remain active until deleted or closed by their author or platform administrators.

• Ratings and reports: ratings and moderation reports are preserved dissociated from deleted plans to protect community reputation and trust.

• Account deletion: you can delete your account at any time from your account settings, permanently removing your personal identification data.

Planmates never sells or rents your personal data to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

We work exclusively with infrastructure providers that ensure GDPR compliance (such as Supabase for secure database storage and Resend for transactional email delivery).

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you hold the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your data. You may exercise these rights at any time via our Contact section.

Planmates uses only strictly necessary technical cookies and local storage required for the proper operation of the platform. We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.

The technical cookies and storage mechanisms we use are:

• Session cookies (Supabase Auth): keep you securely logged in and verify your access permissions for private areas. They are cleared upon logout or expire automatically.
• Language preference (pm_idioma): remembers your chosen language from the header selector so you don't have to reselect it on every visit. Duration: 1 year.
• Welcome screen (pm_bienvenida_vista): remembers that you have already seen the introduction screen to avoid redirecting you on every visit. Duration: 1 year.
• App installation banner (browser local storage): if you dismiss the prompt to install Planmates as an app, we will not show it again for 7 days.
